St Andrews visit.

TK headed to St Andrews for the first time this year! Due to the snow, lack of wind or lack of time Judith and Owain haven't been to West Sands in quite some time.

The forecast was for 20mph NE winds so warm clothing was required! Thermals and Buffs.

Arriving at a very empty beach it was clear that the typical rule of thumb for St Andrews (add 10-15mph more to the forecast) was still true! Wind meter readings of gusts in the 40s meant no kiting was going to be done to the disappointment of one of Owain's students, however, this was ideal X-Sail conditions.

Owain and Judith rigged up 2 of their fleet and put a 3.1 and a 3.5 sail on the units, Mike, one of the TK forum regulars was soon shooting up and down the grass while Judith waited for one the next students to arrive for his hour X-Sail hire. Within 5 mins both X-Sails were blasting along at a great speed in ideal conditions.

The rain stayed away and while Stewart (the X-Sail student) got to grips with his X-Sail, Owain, Mike and Wayne (Kiting student) took it in turns enjoying the fun that was to be had in the other X-Sail.

If you fancy giving X-Sailing a go, why not contact Owain and Judith today, its great fun and suitable for all ages and all weathers.
