The Euros!

Next week some of the TK team (Owain and Ped) and a number of TK forum members will be heading down to Hoylake, England, to compete in the European Kite Buggy Championships as part of the Scotland team which is made up of 10 male and 1 female racers from the SPKA race series which was held during the 2010-2011 race season.

The competition this year will have 76 pilots from 10 nations competing for 4 days. Monday is a day of admin. Registration, scrutinising and hopefully some practice time on the beach and then Tuesday the racing begins!

Owain will be trying to keep everyone on the website up to date with how things are going and if you have twitter, follow @tractionkiting as he will hopefully be tweeting from the event as well.

Photos will be posted as and when.

Best of luck to the Scotland team and safe racing!

Just a quick wee update from today's racing. Following a very wet start to the day when the pits were again flooded, so no kites could be launch, two races were held in the afternoon on a fast course.

The big news is the Maggie took 5th place today (one place higher than yesterday) amongst a strong fleet of 13 female racers, incl. about 7 germans. A Huge congratulations to her.

I think Stuart McGu was top Scot in about 36th place.
