Buggy - Surf progression 2 Years, 2 Months ago
Hi,

So I have had a kite for a while now and have recently got a buggy which I'm starting to get the hang of now, but my real aim is to progress to kite surfing.

What should my next step be?

Obviously need to get the funds first!!!

I would have thought that maybe getting/using a landboard for kiting just to get the feel and balance of it would maybe be the next step

but I maybe am wrong as I don't kitesurf myself so someone may put me right on this forum

I would agree that does sound logical but the beach here isnt the best for landboarding only ok for buggying.

you can go straight to the water but being a landboarder gives u a lot of the basics....so if you dont want to shell out for a lot of kitesurfing gear just yet have a go on someones landboard and get used to the higher centre of gravity and the different leaning style etc.

Yeah I would have thought a more logical way of doing it would be kite - landboard - ksurf lesson - ksurf.

What's up with the beach for boarding, is it a bit soft or what? If you're oop norf try getting hold of the kitehighland mob and nick a board or dirtsurfer off them.

Better to risk breaking your neck than to never look up at the sky.
