Thank you but I'm never doing that again 1 Year, 5 Months ago
A big thank you to everyone who supported me and shouted abuse at me ( you know who you are! )
I completed the 5k in 27.29. I've been told that's quite good for someone who didn't train, has been told they are old and unfit, hates running and is never doing it again. Never been so bored in my life. But never mind it was all for a good cause. Legs back to normal again. Well as normal as my old legs get.
Next challenge will be annouced soon. Think it's got something to do with a rope!!!! Watch this space

Flippin' Heck Judith ... you kept that quiet. Congratulations and hope it wasn't too tough.

Hope the 'thing' with a rope doesn't involve anything too dangerous

I've known since June that as I was going to do this but haven't been broadcasting it. A lot of you will know my personal views on running and will think it was an odd thing for me to decide to do but earlier in the year I was described as old and unfit by a particularly nasty piece of baggage so in a way I set out to prove them wrong, and support a good cause at the same time. I've had some excellent help and to say I didn't train is a bit untrue but I honestly had only run 3km before this run. My very good friend and " trainer" ran every step of the way with me and bullied me round. I did give him a slap when I'd got my breath back
As I said before I've proved I could do it so it feels good but it's not something that I'm going to do again.

One of my fears is heights hence the ropes for my next wee adventure

Def not dangling of the a bridge though good luck with that Big Jim
