True story, my dad told me this the other night and I just remembered...

Apparently, they way you train gun dogs not to run in (ie chase the rabbit you're trying to shoot) is to load your gun with rock salt, so when they do run in you shoot them in the backside :shocked:
It hurts but doesn't do them any serious damage. Talk about learning the hard way!

Anyway, there was a young dog in training and it ran after the rabbit, so its owner shot it with the salt.

BANG! ... Dog keeps running...
BANG! ... Dog still keeps running...

"Hang on mate, I'll get him for you"

BANG! ... YELP YELP yelp yelp yelp!
