Hmm, where do I start?
Well, I started flying kites (Peter Powell stunter) back in 1974!!! had an episode in Hong Kong where got told to bring down a little sled that was flying!! But...........
Suppose it really all started about 14 years ago, came back from Hong Kong, had a mate who made his own kites, joined the Kite Club of Scotland, and started flying!!
Was just trick kites at first, still have a passion for them, but am rubbish at good tricks!!
My son Daz was about 12 when the power kite era started to hit, A guy came up to me on West Sands, got talking (About kites) he said he fancied starting a kite shop (Dan Fowden!!) and I suggested a few types to stock, but it was from Dan that bought first real Traction kite (THE Blade 2.6m) for me and my son, closely followed by a Buggy for Daz's Xmas (IN JULY!!!)

Part Two:
Over the years, Traction Kiting has grown and grown, with more people getting involved, Joined the SPKA in its early years (have been with them for 5+ years I think?) and still there!!
Now have a dedicated pick up truck JUST to hold all the Buggies and kites!!!
Kiting around here (Scotland?) is not just a hobby, passion or sport to me, but a community as well, have made and kept good friends though kites (Look at this place!! 0)
I dont intend to grow old gracefully, and this is one thing that I will always do if able

I LOVE TO FLY KITES!!!
