HELP i have an ozone 2mt imp,and a 4mt access both on bars, I've had for the last 2 years
Flown the imp lots, no problems, access a different story. Had a lesson from James at Extreme Zone, very good teacher then had a go with the access for about half hour.
3 or 4 days later had another go few problems but got there in the end
3 or 4 weeks later had a disaster with the access - oops, launched it, tore it, sent it to The Loft, required new cell ouch! not to be detterd, bought a buggy had a row with the wife
Kite came home, went out that weekend kite & buggy in hand terrified myself.
came home, had a row with the wife, so hear we are another year on and i've got the bug again, was at Barassie beach on Wednsday, had a great day with both kites & buggy at last, so would like to meet fellow kiters that could possibly help me out
I would like to make new frends that like a laugh, meet regulary when the winds allow
I have my own transsport
PS thanks to Tom Arlott for his advice and i will make my way to Ardeer beach park
asap. once i sort out insurance cover with the SPKA.

Hi and welcome to TK. You will find plenty folk on here from the west and east coast who will post where they will be kiting. They are a good bunch and always welcome new faces. TK can usualy be found at St Andrews most weekends. If you have a look in the meets section it will keep you updated. Hope to see you at the beach soon.

Hi there and welcome to the forum.

Hope to see you up at St Andrew or Adeer sometime. I fly the 8m Access and it's a great kite. Took me a few outings to get the hang of it, and even thought about trading it in for something else but keep at it and you'll hopefully like it. Great wind range and stability. Not the fastest kite (get a race kite if you want spped) or lifty (the Frenzy or Manta do that) but great for easy cruising on the beach. The trailing edges does have a tendancy to flip over when you apply too much break especially when trying to land it, but keep a little tension of the control lines and it behaves.

Welcome Niloc,

Where are you based?

Loved your intro, especially the bit about rowing with the wife

Bring your good lady down to Ardeer/Stevenston, we'll show you a good welcome and give you some pointers.

There's a bunch of us who head own regularly for a fly and a blether. We're not as well-honed as Tom & Kev as none of us have raced but we're an affable bunch.

Just lookout for posts on the "Stevenston Meets" thread.

Cheers
Steve

Hi Guys, thanx for replying

Based in Glasgow, unfortunately working this weekend and not sure about the following weekend as it is the agriculatural shows - where I work. Hoping to be free the following weekend, will post a thread if I am available, may even take a run down and see what Ardeere looks like and take the wife for a bite to eat at the Ship Inn - she'll do anything for a reward (glass of wine - preferably) Thorntons Marzipan bar second choice.
Cheers
