This will be a review which will be worked on over the next week.

I haven't flown the kite yet, all I have done is unpacked it in the flat and put it back in it bag.
First impressions, the bag is a huge improvement over the old Venom and Scorpion bags, looks much better made and also seems to compact down much smaller but still has the option of expanding the bag so you can pack the kite down with the spars still inserted. I will be interested to see if they have made it more stirdy when the bag is fully extended as the Venom bag tended to be a bit top heavy!

The kite has the Zero7 bar and lines and comes with a Peter Lynn Beanie hat.

The kite we have been sent to review is the rasta colours, Red, Yellow, Green.

Photos and hoepfully some video will follow when we get back but I will continue to post in here each time I take it out. The wind is looking sweet for land and water use so lets see how I get on with it

Ok, first impressions are the usual, top quality build and the new rucksack is a huge improvement. When its fully extended you can lay the kite in to it rather than having to slide the kite down in to it. Close the zip up around it and bobs your uncle!

However, the kite in flight......
There seems to be a huge amount of bar pressure in this kite, just now the kite is setup as factory settings and I really hope I can lighten the bar pressure on this kite.
There seems to be a lot of back line tension as well so in slightly light winds it back stalls and you need to pull on the top lines to get it to fly. A tad annoying!
Ive only used the kite in the buggy so far but it has tons of grunt for its size and seems to turn pretty fast.
Hoping to get on to the water tomorrow with it and see how I get on with it there.

There are no instructions explaining the bridle system on it either so Angus, if you can remember, what do we do again to change the bar pressure because I am sure its a bridle setting which changes this.....

More thoughts about this kite will follow as I get more time with it.

Final note, I went for a couple of jumps with this kite and the pressure was so high that I almost didnt manage to redirect!! Its crazy!

Didnt get a chance to take it out today due to the fact I was loving the 11m Instinct so much I didnt want to pack it up and get the Synergy out!

There is a lot of rear line tension as well on the Synergy so not sure about that at all. Will have a look tomorrow as the wind is looking sweet again and the Synergy might be the weapon of choice.

It may also be a case of the fact that Instincts have a Reeeaaalllyyy light bar pressure, but it is adjustable on the Synergy, the higher bar pressure setting gives more instant access to the depower, and vice versa.

PS. I wann shot, you around Sat Avo?

Hey Owain
If you are using the stock bar you will need to add 20 cm line extensions for the Synergy. A bunch of us PL fliers have converted our bars to long throw bars (Ocean Rodeo set-up) and the bar accounts for any line variance. The guys on Arc users were mentioning they needed the extensions. I have a 12 that I used in the last bit of winter. Compared to the Scorpions (which are really twitchy and tougher to launch in gusty winds and don't climb to the zenith as easily when partially inflated), the Synergies shot right to the zenith on launch even partially inflated. Power is more by comparison in size to the venoms, the 12 Synergy was getting close to Venom 16 power and it produced really nice vertical jumps skiing with a good hang. But that was spring skiing when air is better and it's always good air time. haven't had them out on the water yet.
