Libre Special splash guard 3 Years, 9 Months ago
Ok, time for a dumb question.

I just orderd a splash guard but it doesn't look right.
It has a squared off tip with a hole through it, but it is so wide I would suspect that turning the wheel will move it all the time.

A quick artist impression, if the pic on the left is the headstock of my front wheel with the frame coming down towards the seat, the pic on the right is my splash guard. the top edge of it is the same width as my headstock ?

Does anyone have any thoughts ?

is there a short tube coming off the down tube which should stop your front fork from spinning 360? If there is, the hole in the splash guard should go over this bit of tube.

Does that make sense?

Is it a libre buggy your putting the splash guard on it? I think I was also confused by how to put it on and in the end gave up on Judith buggy

Yep it's a Libre. Just doesn't seem right for the beastie.

Me thinks an internet surf is in order to see if anyone has pics of it being fitted.

The hole in the splash guard is for the bottom of the head stock bolt to poke through or at least that was how mine was fitted when I had one !

Hi Bob,

I thought that as well, but the whole is too small and the width of the splashguard rubs against the headstock.

I dropped Libre a mail and this is what i got back from them. It will do the trick, but not very elegant solution compared to Flexifoil and other makers splashguards.

Dear Iain,

in front of the splashguard is an eyelet. Through this eyelet you move the rope and
than you attach it securely at the fork.
And than you fit the durex bands at the backaxle.

Best regards
Gerti

I can see your point tom lol

The less cr*p spraying on you the better.
Ok I better scout round for a decent belly pan now then for the Libre, as what can't spray up then sprays down and soaks the seat lol

Going from wet face to well you can guess, not a pretty sight leaving a buggy lol
