TOPIC: Buggy on Islay

Buggy on Islay 3 Years, 4 Months ago
Just back from a long weekend on Islay.
Great clean west wind coming in from Canada, deserted beaches with easy access, 7 distillery's, I have died and gone to heaven
Friday spent at Laggan Bay which is approx 4 miles long and west facing
Saturday too stormy so had to go on the distillery tour (Poor me)
Sunday up to Machir Bay which is approx 2 miles long & 500-600mtr wide when the tide is out, spent the morning on my 3mtr Buster in 20mph westerly with the wind dropping to 10-15mph which was just perfect for trying out the new 5.5mtr Brooza.
I have now got arms like the Hulk after the weekend

A special thanks to Owain & Judith for pulling all the stops to get me the Brooza delivered 30min before I left

Once more unto the beach, dear fiends

Glad you had a good time!
Once I get the new website built I will contact you for a more in depth review of the beaches you found if thats OK? Always good to get more beaches on the map so people know where they can take a kite

Just got a call from one of my mate, they have a free place on their golf trip to Islay which just happens to be right beside the beach @ Kintra.

Got a weather forcast of 20mph West wind onto a west facing deserted beach.

Yehaa stuff the work I'm of home to pack, up @ 4 o'clock tomorrow morning to catch the ferry & should be on the beach by 1 o'clock.

Will remember the camera this time

Where I will be Tomorrow
