Been keeping a keen eye on XC Weather and Magicseaweed for what seems like forever....just waiting for some decent wind in the right direction. Forecast looked canny today so on me day off thought I'd chance me arm up at the south end of Beadnell Bay, Northumberland.
Got there and credit to both XC and Magicseaweed they were both spot on! Dry mornin, north wind blowin 25mph staright down the beach, and about 300 yards of firm sand to play on at low tide (still managed to get wet though). More than happy just to get me 2m Beamer out the bag and give me new Scrub Tatras a run out. Never been on one but took a chance 'n' bought it brand new for half price in a clearance sale. Never even seen any reviews from landboarders about the 'Tatras' but it seems a sound board, with hardly any wobble at speed 'n' easy to slide. Anybody else tried them?
Didn't get to use anything bigger than me 2m, but still had one o them days when ya just don't wanna come home!
Plenty on the water around north end of Beadnell but hardly ever see anyone on land!
Happy kiting
