Early morning and evening for the low tides there this weekend 7-8 ish
Head for Sandhead, thats the village at the West end of the sands. There's a camp site that has a slipway directly onto the beach (not for vehicle access just walking/pulling buggy's) or in the village its self. Mr B's been a regular visitor there recently, he's maybe found other access points.

Info here.

And a vid here.

If the wind is in a Southerly direction you could have 7 miles of beach. If you have bigfoots you will be able to make your way towards the estary through the firing range (not or rarely used) where the best sands are. If not the sand right in front of the Sandhead carpark is OK but does have a number of wet bits.

In my opinion with the right wind this is the best beach in Scotland.

Its also very isolated once you get right out onto the sands, so take a mobile phone and a towrope just in case.
Spare lines/kites/water/spanners/etc are a good idea too. Its a loooooooooooong walk back
